About Lola

Lola is a lifestyle blogger out of Delaware. She brings a unique perspective on Love, Sex, Politics and Community through her personal experiences. Through her #KindnessisContagious campaign, Lola has reached hundreds of community members through her commitment to community service and volunteerism. Her blog focuses for the most part on self-esteem and empowerment. She is the FIRST published Latina Blogger in the state of Delaware.

A graduate of Wilmington University, Lola has been a supporter and advocate for her community since settling in Delaware on 1998. A former unit manager for HSBC bank and Diversity Ambassador, She has worked with the Hispanic Student Recognition Program, The Governor’s Advisory Council on Hispanic Affairs and the HSBC HOPE commission. She is a founder and board member of W. E. N  (Women Empowerment Networking) and has made a consciousness commitment to the enhancement of Latina professionals tri-state wide.  Most recently, she created a series of workshops for one of her umbrella programs, "The Lola Cares Project." The program educated pregnant teens from DAPI (Delaware Adolescent Program Inc.) on financial education , interviewing techniques, oral health for both adults and adolescents, and a  vision board project, in which the young ladies were encouraged to turn their dreams into goals. She is a devout volunteer for the LACC (Latin American Community Center). Currently, her blog “The Lola Chronicles” has gained statewide recognition and became a bi- weekly column in El Tiempo, and a bi-monthly op-ed writer for La Voz Latina. Her proudest accomplishments to date are her twin boys Marco and Ryan.
